Travel has always been my escape from the everyday — and honestly, I enjoy the planning almost as much as being there. Researching destinations, mapping train routes, finding that perfect Gasthaus tucked down a narrow alley. My first trip to Germany changed everything. I stepped off the plane in Berlin, walked through the Brandenburg Gate in the golden afternoon light, and knew this country was going to become a major part of my life.
Since that first visit, I've returned again and again — exploring Bavaria's castles and Biergärten, drinking Riesling in the Rhine Valley, eating my way through Munich's markets, hiking the Black Forest, and discovering the quieter corners of Saxony, Franconia, and the Harz Mountains that most tourists never see. Each trip goes deeper. Each region reveals something new.
I'm not a traditional travel blogger. I work in healthcare IT. But Germany keeps pulling me back, and I finally decided to put everything I've learned into something useful — a site with real knowledge, honest prices, video content from the places I've actually been, and an AI trip planner that builds itineraries from years of real experience. How Germany Became an Obsession
My first trip to Germany. Walking through the Brandenburg Gate in the warm afternoon light, looking down Unter den Linden, eating the best Currywurst of my life at a tiny Imbiss in Kreuzberg. Just like that, Germany became a part of me. The obsession began.
Munich, Hamburg, Cologne, Dresden. Each trip went deeper — Rothenburg's medieval walls, the Rhine Valley's castle-lined shores, Heidelberg's romantic ruins. 40+ countries of travel, but Germany has always been the first love. The planning became almost as enjoyable as the trips themselves.
Leipzig, Nuremberg, Stuttgart, the Black Forest. The fairy-tale villages of the Romantic Road and the wine towns of the Mosel Valley. Each visit revealed a different Germany — one that tourist brochures completely ignore. The notebook of tips and recommendations grew thicker every trip.
I started documenting everything — video from historic city centers, Gasthäuser, scenic train rides, and medieval castles. The idea crystallized: why does no Germany travel site show you what these places actually look and feel like? The dream of a proper travel resource took shape.
